Utilizing art forms traditionally labeled as "women’s work," such as textiles, sewing, and crochet, I construct a personal goddess as a symbol of self-acceptance. This figure represents a form of worship and reverence for oneself, countering a culture that profits from women’s insecurities. Why is it Radical to Love Myself? challenges viewers to consider the transformative potential of self-acceptance in a society that thrives on self-doubt and the commodification of identity. Through each stitch and fiber, the work reclaims “women’s work” as a powerful act of resilience and love, transforming self-care into a radical, spiritual, and deeply personal practice.
